On 21 and 22 March 2026, the Masaryk Circuit in Brno hosted the fourth edition of Motorsport Rescue Camp, a specialist training event focused on safety in motorsport. This year’s edition was exceptional in several respects: it was held in Brno for the first time and also took place for the first time under the banner of Motorsport Safety Institute, an affiliated association of the Autoklub of the Czech Republic.

A total of 150 participants from the Czech Republic and abroad travelled to Brno. The event brought together medical professionals, technical rescue teams, firefighters, motorsport event organisers and safety officials. Representatives from Slovakia, Croatia and Hungary also attended, underlining once again the increasingly strong international dimension of Rescue Camp.

The programme featured expert lectures, case studies of real-life interventions and practical training sessions. One of the key highlights was a simulated four-vehicle accident on the race track, during which participants practised a coordinated response to an emergency. This year, the organisers also placed strong emphasis on cooperation between the different professions involved and on developing a better understanding of how the other teams operate during an incident.

The programme, therefore, also included basic first-aid training for technical staff, who are often the first to arrive at the scene.

The event also included an accompanying programme dedicated to the history of the motorsport rescue system, the presentation of a specialist publication, and an exhibition of both historic and modern rescue vehicles and equipment.

We are pleased to have been part of an event that advances motorsport safety and encourages the sharing of knowledge and experience across the sector.
