This year we again assisted at the WRC EKO Acropolis Rally. The rally was first held in 1951. From 1973 until 2013 it was part of the World Rally Championship. After that, the event moved under the European championship and from 2021 it came under the WRC again. This year the rally was held on a difficult gravel surface in the challenging conditions that prevail in Greece.

We started our journey by land on Monday. And while our colleagues were battling fire in the eastern part of Greece, we encountered another destructive element, water, as we made our way through the middle of it. The flooding was so severe that normal equipment would not have had a chance to pass through the area.

Our racing duo Martin Prokop and Michal Ernst were again present at Acropolis this year, finishing 15th with their Fiesta. Probably like every rally race, this one was not without accidents and hits. Together with our Greek colleagues we fought with everything and we can look forward to next year and other world-class events.

The WRC Central European Rally, which will take place on 26-29 October in three countries – the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.
